This section of hunting terrain alongside the Sacramento River holds wetlands, streams, sloughs and channels that attract waterfowl and a wide variety of upland game. The wetland complex is considered one of the finest on the continent.

This Type A Wildlife area has restricted and limited hunter access during waterfowl season, which includes Howard Slough, Llano Seco and Little Dry Creek. Game includes deer, rabbit, waterfowl, coots, moorhens, snipe, dove, pheasant, and fall turkey.
