The Chico Stage Race is part of the California cycling season. Profits from the Chico Stage Race go to support our community cycling, racing and other charitable programs. The event consists of the Thunderhill Circuit Race, Paskenta Hills Road Race p/b Jakroo, River Road Time Trial, and Downtown Criterium in Chico, CA.

On Sunday, March 31, spectators can cheer on the racers during the the Downtown Chico Criterium. The criterium is an L-shaped course right in the heart of downtown Chico. Festivities take place from 8 am until 6pm at the race headquarters in the downtown Chico Plaza, with vendors, food trucks and music. There’s even a FREE kids’ race at 11:30am (register starting at 11am). The Chico Stage Race Beer Garden and Party (admission fee charged, must be 21 or over) runs from noon to 4pm in the Senator Theater parking lot.

Ride your bike as downtown streets are closed for the racers. There will be FREE and SECURE Bike Valet parking in the Plaza.
