Kai Music and Arts Festival 2023

Taking place at Lake Concow, the first annual Kai Music and Arts Festival is an immersive experience celebrating music, creativity, and community. Enjoy a full day of live music from diverse genres as well as ceremonial dance and songs from Konkow Maidu tribal members at this family friendly event.

There will also be a variety of workshops and vendors showcasing sustainable practices, artisanal crafts, and products that align with sustainable and zero-waste values.

Saturday Schedule

Workshops & Events

While you're enjoying the music on the main stage, join one of the experiential workshops, visit a local non-profit booth, shop local creators with an eye for sustainable practices, or grab a treat from a food vendor! Participating workshops and vendors include, but are not limited to:

  • Maidu Land-Educational Tour
  • Interactive Composting Project
  • Native Plan Identification Walk
  • Kid's bounce house and village
  • IRAYZ Fire Dancing
  • Food and Beverages, including:
    • D'emilio's and Toni's: food options and non-alcoholic beverages
    • Klean Kanteen: Water refill station
    • Sierra Nevada Brewing: beer

Admission

  • $35 General Admission
  • $10 Kids 13-18
  • FREE Kids 12 and younger

Parking

  • $10 Day Parking Pass - parking is limited, so please consider carpooling

Festival Guidelines

  • No pets allowed (qualified service animals permitted)
  • This is a Zero-Waste event, so bring your own picnic tableware and refillable water bottles, and pack out any non-compostable, non-recyclable trash you create during your stay
  • There is limited cell phone service at Lake Concow campgrounds, so please plan accordingly
  • Food, beverage, and craft vendors are CASH ONLY (electronic payments will not be possible)
  • ITEMS TO BRING
    • Sunscreen
    • Refillable Water Bottles
    • Reusable tableware for enjoying meals
    • Day bag or backpack for securing items at festival
    • Cash for any on-site purchases
