Enjoy your breakfast to go as you stroll through Chico’s Saturday Farmers Market. The crisp air and colorful fall leaves make for a beautiful backdrop as you look for the perfect produce.

Lunch at Celestino's

After your time at the farmers market, enjoy a walk through Downtown Chico, where you’ll find unique-to-Chico shops perfect for finding the perfect gift for the upcoming holiday season. Not to interrupt the shopping, a quick stop at Celestino’s New York Pizza makes for the perfect bite. Grab a slice to-go from their walk-up window and then head across the street to sit and enjoy it in the beauty of the Chico State campus.

Discover Something New at monca

Just a short drive from lunch is the Museum of Northern California Art (monca). Here, you can enjoy a collection of paintings, prints, drawings, sculptures, and photography from nearly 100 artists in Northern California. Open Thursday through Sunday from 11am to 5pm, monca is a relaxing way to spend some time with your sweetie.

Sip at La Rocca Vinyards Tasting Room

While in Downtown Chico, stop by the La Rocca Vineyards Tasting Room to enjoy the luxury of their local estate-bottled fine wines, which include organic and sulfate-free varieties. Open until 8 p.m. and offering whites, reds, rosés, and sparkling wines, you can enjoy a few hours sampling great regional wines.

Dine at Crush

You can continue the night at Crush Restaurant. Just a minute walk away from the tasting room, Crush offers contemporary Italian cuisine and a brick oven, so you can enjoy both the perfect gnocchi and a fig, blue cheese, and prosciutto pizza. Don’t forget to explore the dessert menu for a delicious end to the evening.

Day 2

Breakfast at Mug Shots Coffee House

In the morning, take a short drive to Oroville for a change of pace and more natural beauty. For breakfast, stop by Mug Shots Coffee House for some delicious coffee or tea plus a light breakfast of muffins, scones, breakfast burritos, and other treats. Right in Downtown Oroville, Mug Shots is a great start to a leisurely walk through the heart of Oroville.

Discover History at the Oroville Chinese Temple

Just a 10-minute walk away from coffee is the historic Chinese Temple. Built in 1863 to serve the largest community of Chinese north of Sacramento, this temple is now a museum still occasionally used for worship. From Noon to 4 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and weekends, take a stroll through the beautiful grounds and learn more about regional history.
