Lunch at Celestino's

After your time at the farmers market, enjoy a walk through Downtown Chico, where you’ll find unique-to-Chico shops perfect for finding the perfect gift for the upcoming holiday season. Not to interrupt the shopping, a quick stop at Celestino’s New York Pizza makes for the perfect bite. Grab a slice to-go from their walk-up window and then head across the street to sit and enjoy it in the beauty of the Chico State campus.

Just a short drive from lunch is the Museum of Northern California Art (monca). Here, you can spend some time with your sweetie enjoying a collection of paintings, prints, drawings, sculptures, and photography from nearly 100 artists in Northern California.

Built in 1863 to serve the largest community of Chinese north of Sacramento, this temple is now a museum still occasionally used for worship. Take a stroll through the beautiful grounds and learn more about regional history.
